However, they can fail miserably to give you an appreciation for the beautifully detailed colors and textures that make these crib sets truly extraordinary. Accordingly, when possible, we examine each crib set very closely and provide you with as many as 40 close-up images of the pieces of the crib set - whatever it takes to enable you to see what we see. You will be able to see for yourself the details that will make your visitors “ooh and aah” when they visit your nursery. Many have told us that these close-up images enable them to even “feel” the textures of the fabrics.

2. Many infant bedding sets in stock and ready for immediate delivery.

Almost all internet retailers of infant bedding sell their infant bedding on a special order basis only - they do not place orders with the manufacturers until they receive your order, forcing you to wait weeks or months for delivery of your purchase. We caution you to be careful of internet retailers who do not clearly disclose this fact - chances are, if they do not state boldly and clearly that they have your infant bedding in stock and ready for immediate delivery, they do not, and are simply hoping for fast turnaround from the manufacturer and your patience if that does not happen.

3. You don’t pay until we ship - no advance payments required.

This is one aspect of internet retailing of infant bedding that truly astounds us. Most internet retailers sell their infant bedding on a special order basis only, requiring you to wait weeks or months for delivery of your order. But they charge your credit card for the full amount of your order immediately! Nice deal for them - they collect from you long before they ship to you, but don’t have to pay for the infant bedding until weeks after they receive it from the manufacturer.

Besides the simple unfairness of it, there are a few reasons why you should be uncomfortable with this policy:

They are using this advance collection so that they have some leverage to impose order cancellation fees in the event that you change your mind after waiting longer than expected for receipt of your infant bedding.
You may have to pay your credit card bill before receiving your infant bedding, making it more troublesome for you in the event of future disputes.
Their incentive to expedite shipment of your order is lessened because they have already collected from you.

The only exception to this policy at Baby Supermall is for Glenna Jean infant bedding orders. Glenna Jean requires that all retailers transmit their orders to them for shipment directly to you. We will charge your credit card upon transmission of the order to Glenna Jean. Your order can be cancelled at any time prior to shipment from Glenna Jean without penalty and we will immediately process a credit to your credit card.

4. No delivery surprises.

Obviously, there are no delivery surprises with infant bedding that we carry in stock - we can normally ship your order within 24 hours of receipt. With regard to special order bedding, we are in constant communication with the manufacturers regarding expected delivery dates and continually update our website to reflect this information. Of course, any number of factors at the manufacturer’s level can cause surprises, but these are generally infrequent. To be safe, allow some extra time if ordering special order bedding from us or any other internet retailer. Or, to eliminate all of the worry, order one of the many infant bedding collections that we have in stock.

Some websites appear to do a very good job of keeping their expected delivery times up-to-date. However, many others do not. We constantly see websites claiming 3-6 week delivery on an item that we know will not be available for months. Beware of the retailer who claims to be able to ship to you faster than others. It is unlikely that he has any advantageous delivery arrangement with the manufacturer. He is simply not making the effort to keep his site up-to-date, or is purposely misleading in an effort to attract orders. Either reason should cause you concern.

5. Fabric samples available for many collections.

For the truly discriminating shopper, we can send fabric samples to your home for many of the infant bedding collections. These will enable you to truly feel the textures of the fabrics and see the colors for yourself.

7. Reasonable return policies - no restocking fees.

Despite our efforts to make sure that you know what you are buying before you order it, occasionally a customer is not happy with their infant bedding once they receive it. We understand this happens and will refund your product purchase price if you return the product in resalable condition ( to see our detailed return policies and procedures). Most internet retailers charge “restocking fees” (this is a fancy way of saying that they will not refund all of your purchase price, even if you return the item in mint condition) in amounts ranging from 10% to 50% of the purchase price. They don’t want you to be happy with your infant bedding - they simply want to make it so financially painful for you to return your purchase that you will settle for what you receive.
