The Evenflo Secure Step Metal Top of Stair Gate's smarter design makes it the easiest wall mount installation on the market. The gate is preassembled with only 9 parts total (including hardware) compared with competitors with up to 36 parts. There is no need for templates, tape or wrenches. The reduction in parts means less than 10 minute installation time versus an hour or more with competitor gates.

The one-hand Lever Loc mechanism makes this gate easy to open for adults while still child proof. Simply squeeze the buttons and push down to open. The gate will swing both ways or one way (for top of stairs) depending on how you set the swing control. A gentle push locks the gate. And the red/green indicator shows at a glance whether the gate is closed and locked.

The strong metal frame is durable for long term use. The four point hardware mount provides one of the most secure top of stair mountings. Hardware is included for installation onto solid wood or stud support. It easily accommodates base boards up to 8" tall and 0.6" thick.
